In my second studio vlog, I talk a little about what inspires me. I love being out in nature. I attempt to take the feelings, sights and sounds I experience there and use them in my paintings.
What inspires you to create? Let’s have a discussion below.
It takes very little to inspire me. Some days, it’s a muse. ( the squirrel on my bird feeder …….the way his/her tail fluffs out …….the one ray of light coming thru the window…….a friend getting excited about a new rusted bolt she found on the ground to add to her assemblage ) I am mesmerized when going thru the car wash. I always pay a little extra to have the pastel colored soap splash on my windshield…..the washing straps making wonderful shapes ….only to disappear and be replaced by different shapes. It’s 6:30am and I just poured cold creamer into my black coffee. Wow! The contrasting swirls are making my mouth water and my brains dance! My list is endless.
Diana I love the little things that inspire you. I want to get my car washed where you get yours done!
I am inspired by light . I try to capture the quality of light and shadow ion, in-between and around what I am looking at, whether it’s a figure, a group of trees , or a still life. Try being the operative word!
Light and shadow is such a beautiful thing to see. Joyce you do capture the light in your work. I understand though, we all strive to capture that idea of what we see in our mindseye.
